Re: Introduction of Seasonal Server on Tibiantis

Introduction
For the past five years, Tibiantis has thrived as a single Legacy server, preserving the classic Tibia 7.4 experience. However, the static nature of a single persistent server has led to a stagnation of competition and economy. In contrast, during Tibia’s golden era, new servers were frequently launched every few months, providing players with a fresh start, intense rivalry, and dynamic economies. While this system invigorated the game, it also fragmented the player base and left old servers deserted.
To address these issues while maintaining a healthy long-term ecosystem, I propose the introduction of a seasonal server similar to Path of Exile. This model would introduce a new, time-limited server—„Reborn”—where players could compete in a fresh environment with new economic and PvP opportunities. After approximately one year, all characters from the seasonal server would be merged into the permanent Legacy server, ensuring that no progress is lost and preserving the long-term integrity of Tibiantis.

Benefits of Seasonal Servers

1. Renewed Competition
Fresh servers foster a spirit of rivalry, creating exciting challenges and unique opportunities for both veterans and newcomers.

2. Fresh Economy
A new economy prevents stagnation, offering players a dynamic and unpredictable in-game marketplace. It also ensures empty storages of bed mages that make players more eager to acquire runes than they are currently.

3. A Unique Gameplay Experience
The early days of a server offer an unparalleled sense of adventure, with fierce competition for hunting spots, houses, and top rankings.

4. A Solution to Player Retention
Many players are drawn to the thrill of a fresh start but often abandon old servers due to their static nature. A seasonal model keeps engagement high and encourages long-term investment.

5. No Server Cannibalization
Unlike traditional new server launches that fragment the player base, this system ensures that seasonal players ultimately return to the main Legacy server, reinforcing its longevity.

6. Attracting New and Returning Players
Players from other servers and even those who have quit may be enticed by the prospect of starting anew without losing long-term progress.

Why Now?
Tibiantis is a unique server that many players consider their last true Tibia home. However, without new challenges, the game risks becoming a graveyard of old, unresolved conflicts and maxed-out characters. A seasonal server model would revitalize the community, bring excitement back to the game, and encourage new adventures without disrupting the core experience.
I urge the Tibiantis team to consider this proposal, as it aligns with both the competitive spirit of the game and the long-term sustainability of the server. A well-executed seasonal system could be the key to ensuring that Tibiantis remains the ultimate classic Tibia experience for years to come.
