Re: Guide by Dratini (Sword/Club/Axe)
Since, the question whether you should use Sword, Axe or maybe Club arises in game on a daily basis I decided to make another guide to end the discussion about this topic.
1. Swords
Probably the best weapon type you can use, relatively cheap and easy to manage, you do not need to skill shielding as it's not necessary with end game gear, route should be like this:
Two Handed Sword -> Giant Sword -> SOV
Basically, you're not using one handed weapon until SOV, and while wielding it you're defending with your sword fighting skill.
WORTH TO MENTION SWORDS:
-Two Handed Sword (30/25) your go to weapon on main, cost 950gp from NPC and it's perfect. (two handed)
-Fire Sword (35/20) the seconnd best obtainable one handed sword before SOV if you insist on using shield. It might be tedious with such low atk stat. Cost about 4-5k (one handed)
-Bright Sword (36/30) best one handed sword before SOV, the problem might be there's only one on the server. Cost: "var" (one handed)
-Giant Sword (46/22) Your Go to weapon before SOV, perfect stats, two handed, provide good atk and def, on balanced it's great weapon to use, probably should be your first item to invest into when you are sword user. Cost: about 10-15k (two handed)
-Magic Sword (48/35) Your End Game weapon, perfect stats from annihilator nothing much to say. Cost: ~1.5kk (one handed)
-Ice Rapier (100/1) Your last resort weapon, breaks after 1 hit. Cost: ~1.5k (one handed)
PROS: Ice Rapiers as your last resort (100atk), no need of shielding, cheap and easy to update, stick with GS until SOV, Sword rings increase your atk and def
CONS: -2 atk to Axes, -2 def (but it's even unless axe users would really care about their shielding)
SMALL TIP: it's worth to use balanced stance on Giant Sword and SOV if you want to decrease waste GS stats on balance are 46/22 and on full atk it's 55/14 (9atk for 8def) and SOV stats are 48/35 on balanced and 57/21 on full atk (9atk for 14 def)
2. Axes
Has the highest atk from all with an amazing 50 atk weapon from annihilator, but turns out, they are not really "that great" in comparison to Swords. You have to skill shielding for this type of weapons as you would end up with low amount, route should be like this:
Barbarian Axe + Dwarven Shield -> Fire Axe + Dragon[here you're upgrading the shield to MMS asap] -> SCA + MMS
As you might be shocked I skipped Dragon Lance as this weapon is just pure waste unless you're going to hunt dragons it has terrible stats for a weapon (47/16) leaving you almost defenceless against monsters like a dwarf guard, when you compare it stats to a GS (it's +1atk -6 def). With Fire Axe + MMS on full atk you will have almost the same stats as Giant Sword on balanced (45/23 only 1 atk lower with 1 more def) so it's your way to go till late game.
WORTH TO MENTION AXES:
-Orcish Axe (23/12) useable but a Barbarian axe is a better alternative. Cost: almost none, rather looted for you if needed from an Orc Rider. (one handed)
-Barbarian Axe (28/18) your go to weapon on main, can be bought from an Edron NPC. Cost: 590gp (one handed)
-Fire Axe (38/16) the best one handed axe before SCA, you should probably use it until annihilator/gaining money for SCA, it has similar stats to a Giant Sword if it's used on full atk. Cost: ~7-10k (one handed)
-Naginata (39/25) Cheap two handed axe, rather not worth using. Cost: Probably about 5k (two handed)
-Guardian Halberd (46/15) a bit weaker than Dragon Lance, but also cheaper, it would be almost a perfect weapon if it was one handed. Cost: ~50-70k (two handed)
-Dragon Lance (47/16) The second best two handed weapon very rare drop from a Black Knight whose spawn is around 15 minutes. Cost: ~~100-150k (two handed)
-Stonecutter Axe (50/30) Your End Game weapon, best one handed obtainable axe, used till the very end. Cost: ~1.5kk (one handed)
-Great Axe (52/22) Only one exists on the server, rather not usable outside dragon spawns. Cost: Priceless (two handed)
PROS: Higher base atk from anni weapon, higher def value
CONS: lack of ice rapiers, expensive, have to upgrade shielding and skill it as well which is terrible to set up and often you will be wasting time instead of skilling.
3. Clubs
The worst of all,it is Cheap to get end game clubs but then you're stuck with a terrible atk/def value and the dreams of thunder hammer. Route should be:
Morning Star + Dwarven Shield -> Skull Staff + Dragon Shield [upgrading to MMS asap] -> It can include war hammer/hammer of wrath sometimes but those are even worse than dragon lance (45/10) or (48/12)
Not much can be said about clubs, they were poorly designed in tibia 7.4 and it's hard to do some adjustments.
WORTH TO MENTION CLUBS:
-Morning Star (25/11) Can be used as your first weapon on mainland. Cost: ~150gp from players (one handed)
-Clerical Mace (28/15) Probably your go to weapon on start, can be bought from Edron NPC. Cost: 540gp (one handed)
-Dragon Hammer (32/20) Might be useful but rather not used. Price: about 2-3k (one handed)
-Skull Staff (36/12) The second best one handed obtainable club in the game, your End Game Weapon, 36 atk at the end game is not that great. Price: about 4-6k (one handed)
-War Hammer (45/10) It is really cheap club with high atk but almost no def, mostly used by druids/sorcerers on rotworms. Price: 2-3k (two handed)
-Hammer Of Wrath (48/12) The best two handed obtainable club, it has the same atk value as a Magic Sword but a terrible def value. It might be your go to weapon to boost your atk rather than using Skull Staff. Price: 50-100k (two handed)
-Thunder Hammer (49/35) The best one handed club weapon, its an extremely rare drop from the Orshabaal. It has better stats than a Magic Sword but even if it is dropped it is rather used as a decoration or rare item and not as a weapon. Price: Priceless (one handed)
PROS: cheapest to get end game weapon
CONS: almost everything, they have terrible stats, terrible defs for two handeds and overall are the worst possible choice in this tibia. you are stuck with 48/12 in terms of stats unless you dream about obtaining the Thunder Hammer.
Hope You all will enjoy this guide and it will finally end the never ending discussion whether to use Axe or Sword. Take care on your journeys on Tibiantis lands!
