Changelog
17 Apr 2024 - Rule 3 has been updated with a new entry: "Players who are complicit in cheating by aiding, abetting and/or consciously profiting from illegal actions of other players, may also be punished with 7-day banishment, 14-day banishment, 30-day banishment with or without a final warning, or permanent banishment, depending on the seriousness of the violation and the Player's criminal record." - This doesn't really change the way we enforce the rules, because such cases used to be punished as "destructive behavior". We decided, however, that it deserves to be stated explicitly in the Rules.

We also updated Rule 6.: starting from Apr 25, the automatic auction bans will be twice as long. Check full changelog...

Re: Distance Fighting, how does it work? [GUIDE]

Distance fighting, skill mostly used by paladins as they are known to use ranged weapons, but how does the skill itself works?

Answer is simple and let's break it into few sections.

1: How to advance in distance fighting?
This skill works similar to melee fighting skills, in fact it has the same multiplayer (meaning, you need the same amount of ticks to advance from 40 -> 41 skill, no matter melee or distance). Yet there is one catch that makes distance easier to advance, as in melee fighting every single hit counts as "1" (so if you need 4 hits to advance, it will take you 4 turns to advance in melee) every single BLOOD HIT dealt by ranged weapons counts as "2" towards advancing (so each blood hit in distance counts like 2 melee hits in terms of skill advances). Taking it into consideration, the more blood hits you deal as pally the faster your skills will rise.

2: Distance fighting attributes and accuracy.

Ranged weapons tend to have lower atk value than melee weapons:

Spear - 30 atk, one handed, does not break but you have to pick it up.
Arrow - 25 atk, requires bow (two handed), breaks after every hit.
Bolt - 30 atk, requires crossbow (two handed), breaks after every hit.
Power Bolt - 40 atk, requires crossbow (two handed), breaks after every hit.

Those values show that spears and bolts are the same in attack, yet there is one more thing, one-handed ranged weapons have lower accuracy and as your skill grows their cap is lowered (Max accuracy for one-handed weapons is 75% while for two-handed weapons it's 90%)
The best accuracy you have if there is one sqm gap between you and a target [P] X [M]

[P] - Player
X - Empty SQM
[M] - Monster (Our Target)

3: Damage dealt by ranged weapons.

The formula for ranged dmg is the same as for melee, yet there is also accuracy check (which checks if you hit or miss). To compensate lower atk value of ranged weapons, players distance attacks pierce the shielding, meaning that DEF value of the defender is not taken into consideration (their ARM value is though).

Hope This guide will be helpful for somebody, if you would like to correct any information or you feel like I should add up something to the guide, feel free to msg me on discord or leave a comment and I will improve it as much as possible, Cheers!
