Changelog
17 Apr 2024 - Rule 3 has been updated with a new entry: "Players who are complicit in cheating by aiding, abetting and/or consciously profiting from illegal actions of other players, may also be punished with 7-day banishment, 14-day banishment, 30-day banishment with or without a final warning, or permanent banishment, depending on the seriousness of the violation and the Player's criminal record." - This doesn't really change the way we enforce the rules, because such cases used to be punished as "destructive behavior". We decided, however, that it deserves to be stated explicitly in the Rules.

We also updated Rule 6.: starting from Apr 25, the automatic auction bans will be twice as long. Check full changelog...

Re: Accounts unjustly removed

Hello. I need help. My account (nick in game: Rafux Defender) and my son's account (nick in game: Master Oliver) were unjustly banned for multi-clienting. Some time ago, when I created the account, I asked on the forum if two players in the same household, using the same internet and two devices, can play together on Tibiantis. I received a response that they can play together, and there's no problem (I was concerned that I might get banned because the server administration might consider me a cheater, so I preferred to ask.

My son played as a druid, and I played as a knight. At home, we have a PC and a laptop. Most of the time, we played together at the same table on these two devices. My son would set up a monk and make runes, while I could train my knight. We sat together like this, knowing that it's time-consuming, and we played stationary chess on the same table to pass the time and enjoy ourselves.

Due to the fact that my son is only 7 years old, I helped him with typing in the chat to buy certain items or respond to other players. Sometimes, I logged into my account on the PC, and he logged into his account on the laptop, and at other times, it was the other way around. Occasionally, I would log into my account on the PC to retrieve an item from our house, and then my son would log into his account on the PC to collect that item. It's important to emphasize that we usually played at the same times because my son doesn't have access to computers when I'm not present, as he's too young for that.

Due to the fact that both of us were using the same devices and logging in at similar times, it may appear as if we were attempting multi-clienting, but that was not the case. I can provide videos and photos, or even go live to demonstrate that there are two of us, and we have two devices, and we play together.

We didn't even receive a warning that we were doing something wrong. No one attempted to contact us; instead, our accounts were unprecedentedly and brutally removed, accounts that we had invested many hours of gameplay into, even though we hadn't done anything wrong!

So, we were playing peacefully within our family for two months, with my son sometimes leveling up, and sometimes I was leveling up. Everything was fine until yesterday when we tried to log into our accounts and found out that they had been banned for multi-clienting! We were treated very harshly even though we didn't break any rules that apply on the server. We were grouped together with cheaters, frauds, and people who are trying to dishonestly profit on Tibiantis on a massive scale.

I hope that the server administration will thoroughly review our case because our accounts were unjustly removed. I hope that someone will take the time to investigate and confirm that what I'm saying is true.

I respect all the rules that apply on the server, and I agree with the regulations stating that cheaters should be punished and have their accounts removed, including cases of multi-clienting. However, a server with such a high level of respect should also stand up for ordinary honest players because they exist as well. I understand that it's easier to simply remove accounts of people suspected of cheating, as it's quicker and more straightforward, but in this case, this procedure has affected honest players like us, and our accounts were unjustly removed.

Thank you, and I hope for a positive resolution to this matter. Kind Regards

That was funny to read! All I have to say to you is: either don't cheat or learn how to cheat better (just a joke not inciting cheating lul)

Basic chess rules are not that complicated for a 7 year old kid. They wouldn't do en passant or have very good strategies, but they can know the move set for each piece.

I have no idea what the purpose of creating this topic was. You have already received a previous email response in which it was clearly stated that the matter was thoroughly analyzed, and the ban decision is final. I also don't think anyone here will believe your lies about playing as two people. The only thing we can promise is that we will closely monitor any potential new characters you create to check if you have understood the rules and if you intend to abide by them this time.
