Changelog
17 Apr 2024 - Rule 3 has been updated with a new entry: "Players who are complicit in cheating by aiding, abetting and/or consciously profiting from illegal actions of other players, may also be punished with 7-day banishment, 14-day banishment, 30-day banishment with or without a final warning, or permanent banishment, depending on the seriousness of the violation and the Player's criminal record." - This doesn't really change the way we enforce the rules, because such cases used to be punished as "destructive behavior". We decided, however, that it deserves to be stated explicitly in the Rules.

We also updated Rule 6.: starting from Apr 25, the automatic auction bans will be twice as long. Check full changelog...

Re: Proposal regarding PK team issue

Dear Tibiantis Community,
I am writing to propose the introduction of a sixth blessing to address the ongoing challenges posed by PK teams and enhance the overall gameplay experience on the server. This proposal aims to provide a comprehensive solution to mitigate the impact of PKing activities while promoting fairness and balance within the game world.

Every single day, discussions regarding the disruptive nature of PK teams arise on our Discord channels. While these conversations shed light on the issue, they often lack concrete proposals for resolution. Therefore, after observing the situation closely, I am stepping forward to present a potential solution that I believe could significantly improve the current state of affairs.

Overview:
The proposed sixth blessing would offer players additional protection against PvP deaths, specifically targeting encounters with PK teams. It would be available for purchase seven days after a player's death, ensuring that players cannot simply buy their way out of dangerous situations immediately. This delay also allows for a period of reflection and consideration, encouraging players to weigh the risks and rewards of engaging in PvP combat.

Features of the Sixth Blessing:
Cost: The sixth blessing would be priced at 50,000 gold coins, making it a significant investment for players. This higher cost reflects the comprehensive protection it offers and serves as a gold sink to help regulate the in-game economy.
Eligibility: The sixth blessing would be available to characters up to level 120. This limitation ensures that higher-level war players are not directly affected, focusing the benefits on mid-level players who are more vulnerable to PKing activities.
Protection: Upon purchasing the sixth blessing, players would receive complete protection against all penalties associated with PvP deaths. This includes the loss of experience points, items, and the amulet of loss. However, it's essential to note that this protection only applies to PvP deaths and not deaths from PvE encounters. The blessing would not be lost upon PvE death.
Limitations: The sixth blessing can only be purchased once every seven days following a PvP death. This restriction prevents immediate rebuying after death and opens a 7 days window in which players may die without blessings.
Implementation: The introduction of the sixth blessing would be accompanied by clear guidelines and explanations to ensure that players understand its purpose and limitations. This includes in-game notifications, forum posts, and announcements from the administration.

Benefits of the Sixth Blessing:
Enhanced Player Protection: The sixth blessing offers players an additional layer of security against PKing activities, reducing the fear of losing progress and valuable items in PvP encounters.
Balanced Gameplay: By providing mid-level players with a means to mitigate the risks of PvP deaths, the sixth blessing promotes fairness and balance within the game world. It encourages healthy competition and engagement without compromising the integrity of PvP mechanics.
Economic Regulation: The introduction of the sixth blessing serves as a gold sink, helping to regulate the in-game economy by removing excess currency from circulation. This helps stabilize prices for items and prevents inflation over time.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, the introduction of a sixth blessing represents a proactive step towards addressing the challenges posed by PK teams and enhancing the overall gameplay experience on Tibiantis. By providing players with additional protection against PvP deaths, we aim to promote fairness, balance, and strategic decision-making within the game world.

I welcome feedback and suggestions from the community regarding this proposal and look forward to working together to ensure a positive and enjoyable gaming experience for all players.

P.S.
An alternative solution: Considering that most PK teams utilize low-level characters below the level of 50, I propose implementing a system where the limit of unjustified frags increases with a player's level. This adjustment would grant higher-level characters more freedom in combating PK teams without facing undue penalties. By aligning the consequences of unjustified frags with a player's level, we can create a fairer and more balanced PvP environment where players of all levels can actively engage in conflict resolution while discouraging unjust actions against lower-level characters.

Thank you for your attention and consideration. Feel free to discuss any ideas or solutions below.

Hail Tibiantis.
