Changelog
17 Apr 2024 - Rule 3 has been updated with a new entry: "Players who are complicit in cheating by aiding, abetting and/or consciously profiting from illegal actions of other players, may also be punished with 7-day banishment, 14-day banishment, 30-day banishment with or without a final warning, or permanent banishment, depending on the seriousness of the violation and the Player's criminal record." - This doesn't really change the way we enforce the rules, because such cases used to be punished as "destructive behavior". We decided, however, that it deserves to be stated explicitly in the Rules.

We also updated Rule 6.: starting from Apr 25, the automatic auction bans will be twice as long. Check full changelog...

Re: Is racism allowed?

I'm seeing some weird stuff on this OT, and I was also called monkey from being from another country.

I would like to know if racism is okay on this server? If so, I will have to play somewhere else, I'm too old for shit like this.

The report button in the game doesn't seem to be useful since no one responds in there. Maybe someone from Tibiantis will answer here.

Thanks.

As far as I'm aware they do respond to CTRL + R, but there are better options like the forum, discord or e-mail. Also you need to make sure you follow the instructions before using CTRL + R. I've heard of reports being ignored for not following the guidelines.

The rule point 2a) says something about it, but as far as I know - whenever someone reports insanely racist statements or even death wishes, the administration says it is most likely in a private context or private message so it doesn't fit the rule "Players must not make public statements that are offensive to a person, a group of people, or other party, nor statements that are".

Re: Is racism allowed?

We strongly oppose any forms of verbal abuse, which is why, as stated in the second paragraph of our rules, authors of inappropriate comments, messages and other contents published on public channels (Trade, Game-Chat, RL-Chat, Help) will be warned and eventually banned.

But we also respect the privacy of all of our players, and therefore we rather refrain from interfering in the communications conducted privately. In such case, we suggest that you add the offensive player to your list of ignored. You can do this by either clicking the crossed-out circle in the top-right corner of the dialogue window or by pressing ctrl + i. As a result, that player will be unable to contact you via private messages. Remember, to mark the "ignore permanently" option if you would like to keep your settings after closing the client.

As a side note, we do answer all the valid in-game reports whenever we are online (which is usually almost all day, but not exactly 24/7). However, keep in mind that once you close the channel or log out before we have a chance to reply - your message will disappear. If you want to make sure that your report is kept and gets answered, you can always send it to [email protected] as well.
