26 Oct 2024 - Thanks to a few tweaks to the back-end infrastructure, the server save will now last 10 minutes at most, rather than way over 20 as it did before.

Re: Change rune system to one more convenient for players
Heyo,
I would like to propose some simple solution that would let us to trade much quicker and safer.
Just add one custom change that every player will greatly benefit from, there will be only 1 person on whole server - Homer Simpson that will loose on this... (for greater good Homer!)
Proposals are 3, one purely cosmetical, second may affect gameplay, third will be purely cosmetical also. 1. Color of rune gently lightens with each use.
Pros: - player can see if the rune has already been used or not; - player has a clear preview of the moment when he will have to pay attention because of the end of rune - happy players
Cons: - code implementation - homer wont be able to sell used runes so easily
2. The weight of the rune decreases with each use (total weight of the rune remains exactly the same, it is reduced to 0 with each use by a certain fraction)
Pros: - gameplay becomes more dynamic in a tiny way(you can loot f.e. 6 gold coins for each charge used :P ) - player can check backpack for defective runes with one click - happy players
Cons: - code implementation - homer wont be able to sell used runes so easily - change will cause minimal impact on gameplay - happy players
3. Rune would have a charge written in the corner, just like arrows.
Pros: - easy implementation - happy players
cons: - more modern look of runes/client - homer wont be able to sell used runes so easily
that feature reminds all the other seasonal servers, too modern in my opinion
Agreed.
The risk of being scammed is a part of the game, even though I am not scamming people and I hate scammers, it's always fun to see when someone gets scammed by 1x rune usage and learns to be cautious :)

All of these are noob friendly proposals and this is not the direction Administration has been going towards, that's where cipsoft had gone. No, thank you.

How is this noob friendly? This proposal is mainly targeted to end game players.
Imagine trading 100 bps each time 4x4 and clicking every single one rune on trade. Or, waste hours of your time hunting down funny guy who tried to scam you :) lennyface
