Changelog
26 Oct 2024 - Thanks to a few tweaks to the back-end infrastructure, the server save will now last 10 minutes at most, rather than way over 20 as it did before.

Since last patch has been made available (I had to redownload the whole game everytime) my game won't start up anymore. Whenever I try, my anti-virus finds a Trojan when launching Tibiantis.exe.
After that the game can't be started up anymore at all. redownloading doesn't work, seems the Trojan is in the current download files from your website.
Please look into this, and other people: check the files. You may have this Trojan in it aswell.
There is no virus in the client. If your antivirus is detecting a Trojan, it is a false positive. Please provide us with the name of your antivirus software so we can contact their support and have the client added to the whitelist.
If the client was downloaded from the official website, there is nothing to worry about. You can safely add the client to your antivirus exceptions, or if you prefer, you can wait a few days until your antivirus updates and adds the client to the list of safe applications (the time depends on when the company verifies the files). However, to proceed, please provide the name of your antivirus software.
Thank you for your reply. I use the Windows 11 built-in virus program.
It detected: Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml, which comes from Tibiantis\game\Tibiantis.dll file. I haven't had this before, but it happened after your latest update.
I can't ignore it or anything. It just notices this Trojan the first time I boot up Tibiantis, after that it shuts down, it shows me there is a Trojan and it will not allow me to boot up Tibiantis anymore.
There is no trojan or virus in the client. Please, read my posts here and here. You can add the client to exceptions in your AV or choose not to play if you are afraid. There is nothing else we can do at this point.
Thank you for the reply and the extra information. It's strange indeed. I have been playing np for more than a month and suddenly now it gives this message.
Guess I now need to find out how I can add Tibiantis to the exception list.
ALL my friends in the game mentioned that they had Trojans detected on their computers while playing Tibiantis about three days ago. One specific Trojan, which we even have a screenshot of, is 'Wacatac.b!ml'.
We are concerned about continuing to play, as we're afraid of getting hacked, having our data leaked, or even being robbed in real life.
Could you guide us here? This is the first post I've seen on the forum abt it, but several people in-game that I'm in contact with reported this incident. Some even had to reinstall the game.

Today my Avast Antivirus just found a trojan in your client and deleted it. Everytime i download new one, its blocking it. Would be nice if you could let know Avast if its safe

I've send whitelist request to Avast Team. In meanwhile you need to temporary disable the protection, download client and then add's Tibiantis directory to exclusion list in Avast. Sorry for inconvenience
