Sell or leave your house

Selling or leaving your house is not possible. Programmer "Lord" stated that this is not possible and the only way to get rid of a house you own is to not pay rent.. Is this something that is going to be fixed?
Without the posibility of selling houses the market for houses dies (obviously) and is in my opinion hurting the server.
